Original h\u00f6gtryckspump (HPP) kommer inte att kunna bibeh\u00e5lla den valda tryckniv\u00e5n om vi \u00f6kar m\u00e4ngden br\u00e4nsle som g\u00e5r till motorn. Det var d\u00e4rf\u00f6r vi beh\u00f6vde hitta st\u00f6rre HPP. Mercedes 400cdi har en som passar v\u00e5r 320cdi ganska enkelt. Den kan producera st\u00f6rre br\u00e4nslevolym vid samma tryck som v\u00e5r originalpump. Denna HPP \u00e4r ungef\u00e4r 30% st\u00f6rre \u00e4n originalet. Det g\u00f6r att vi kan k\u00f6ra 30% mer br\u00e4nsle genom insprutare utan problem med att h\u00e5lla trycket. Vi f\u00f6rs\u00f6kte hitta n\u00e5gra st\u00f6rre injektorer f\u00f6r v\u00e5r anv\u00e4ndning fr\u00e5n MB-kataloger. Vi best\u00e4llde till och med ett nytt set, men efter att ha testat dem vid injektortestb\u00e4nken best\u00e4mde vi oss f\u00f6r att vi inte skulle anv\u00e4nda dem. Detta beror p\u00e5 att de bara skulle fungera upp till 350-400 hk, och v\u00e5rt m\u00e5l \u00e4r mycket mer. Enda l\u00f6sningen var att modifiera v\u00e5ra originalinjektorer till maximal effekt. Denna modifiering \u00e4r n\u00e5got som inte g\u00f6rs p\u00e5 garagegolvet, s\u00e5 vi v\u00e4nde oss till proffs. Vi var oerh\u00f6rt glada \u00f6ver detta f\u00f6r nu ska dessa injektorer kunna producera effekt upp till 600hk.<\/p>\n

F\u00f6rsta testdagen!<\/p>\n

Vi begav oss till den lokala racerbanan 11.4 f\u00f6r att utveckla lite baslinjeprogramvara. Tyv\u00e4rr f\u00f6rst\u00f6rdes testdagen av en felaktig br\u00e4nslekontrollventil p\u00e5 HPP. Bilen gick bra ett tag men b\u00f6rjade sedan kr\u00e5ngla. H\u00f6gt tryck \u00e4r mycket strikt kontrollerat av ECU och det till\u00e5ter inte mycket tolerans f\u00f6r det. P\u00e5 grund av denna felaktiga br\u00e4nsleventil studsade h\u00f6gt tryck upp och ner oregelbundet. Detta g\u00f6r att motorn st\u00e4ngs av omedelbart n\u00e4r trycket stiger fr\u00e5n diagrammet. S\u00e5 testdagen var f\u00f6rst\u00f6rd men dagen efter fick vi en ny ventil som fixade problemet.<\/p>\n

N\u00e4sta dag k\u00f6rde bilen utan att den st\u00e4ngdes av hela tiden. Det fanns fortfarande ett problem som begr\u00e4nsar effekten fr\u00e5n h\u00f6gt varvtal. Av n\u00e5gon anledning begr\u00e4nsar mjukvaran br\u00e4nslefl\u00f6det precis n\u00e4r magin b\u00f6rjar h\u00e4nda. N\u00e4r boosten s\u00e4tter ig\u00e5ng begr\u00e4nsas br\u00e4nslefl\u00f6det. Detta \u00e4r f\u00f6rmodligen n\u00e5gon s\u00e4kerhetsgr\u00e4ns som f\u00f6rs\u00f6ker r\u00e4dda motorn. Vi lurade laddtryckssensorn p\u00e5 ett s\u00e4tt s\u00e5 att den ser att trycket ligger p\u00e5 1 bar. \u00c4ven tufft \u00e4r det ca 3bar i systemet. Med denna enkla mod och n\u00e5gra justeringar av mjukvaran kunde vi \u00e4ntligen se en del av potentialen i denna motor. Med detta system kunde vi f\u00e5 530 hk<\/b> fr\u00e5n motorn p\u00e5 dynon! Nu skulle vi beh\u00f6va hitta problemet p\u00e5 programvaran s\u00e5 att vi kunde f\u00e5 programvaran att fungera med laddtryckssensorn. Jag \u00e4r ganska s\u00e4ker p\u00e5 att det finns stor potential att komma n\u00e4rmare 600hk-niv\u00e5n. Testning kommer att visa om h\u00f6gtryckspumpen \u00e4r tillr\u00e4ckligt stor f\u00f6r det m\u00e5let.<\/p>\n
