Billet common rail pump gear

This is  the black smoke common rail pump gear. The gear replaces the stock one and changes the rail pump gearing, the pump will run at higher rpms (same RPM as BMW R90 pump). With the stock common rail pump (CR3-L90) you will be able to run 400-450hp with this gear depending on which injectors are used. With om628 400cdi pump you will be able to run 600-650hp depending on which injectors are used.

The gears are made from 42CrMo4 steel and they’re tempered, in simple terms – they are indestructible.

The gears are made from 42CrMo4 steel and they’re tempered, in simple terms – they are indestructible.

This fits at least the following engines;

  • om611
  • om612
  • om613
  • om646
  • om647
  • om648

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES THOROUGHLY

  • The chain should not be shortened.
  • Using a new chain is recommended, especially if your engine has done more than 200000km.
  • You will need to reuse the bearing from your stock pump gear.
  • When removing the bearing from your stock pump gear, do it as gently as possible, a press tool is highly recommended. (The bearing is very soft and hitting it affects the next point a lot)
  • Make sure the upgrade pump gear spins without resistance on the centerpiece before mounting. If not, a slight hone might be necessary. Use oil when fitting centerpiece.
  • Make sure the gear spins properly when you have tightened the bolt.
  • remove washer from chain tightener, use sealant or replace with narrowest possible washer to prevent leaking.
